JZK Collective Hosts High-Level ASDRE Briefing & Architectural Portfolio Showcase in Tirana
On 3 December 2025, JZK Collective brought together senior representatives of Albania’s key development institutions and leading international architecture firms for a high-level closed-door briefing and portfolio showcase at the Tirana International Hotel.
The session was designed as a focused environment for strategic exchange, bridging the country’s emerging development priorities with global architectural expertise.
Opening Session: Setting the Context
The event opened with remarks by Joleza Koka (JZK Collective), who welcomed participants and introduced the objectives of the meeting:
- to present Albania’s current development landscape,
- to build direct bridges between institutions and design practices, and
- to facilitate informed, practical conversation about collaboration opportunities.
An overview of AIC & ASDRE’s development agenda:
- National development goals and investment priorities
- Upcoming public projects and areas open to international collaboration
- Real estate and public asset development (ASDRE)
- Development-ready sites and strategic assets
- Entry points for architecture and planning partners
Representatives of the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination expanded on national strategic frameworks, alignment with government priorities, and opportunities within donor-funded programs.
Portfolio Showcase: International Practices in Focus
The second part of the event highlighted a curated group of European architectural practices, each presenting a flagship project relevant to Albania or the region.
4A introduced the portfolio segment, followed by in-depth presentations from:
- Settanta7 (S7) – Benedetta Mae & Daniele Rangone
- HB – Marco Righi
- Rizoma – Lorenzo Antonelli
- Perillo – Aleksandra Marku
Each studio showcased its core expertise, geographical presence, and design philosophy, offering institutions and private-sector attendees a clear understanding of the value they bring to Albania’s evolving architectural and urban landscape.
The briefing brought together a carefully selected group of institutional representatives, strategic agencies, professional chambers, and private-sector stakeholders, creating a rare space where planning, policy, and design met in a meaningful way. The session concluded with collaborative reflections that outlined practical pathways for cooperation and highlighted shared areas of interest, followed by an informal networking moment curated by JZK Collective to facilitate direct exchanges and coordinated next steps. Through this high-level gathering in Tirana, JZK Collective reaffirmed its role as a connector between public institutions and international architectural talent, contributing to Albania’s development ambitions with clarity, structure, and global expertise.
